CENTEXS in Partnership with Gamuda Technologies
The Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) and Gamuda Technologies have come together with one shared goal, to empower talent and fast-track Sarawak’s digital transformation in construction and beyond. This collaboration marks an important step in preparing local professionals with the skills needed for a smarter, more connected industry.
Open to diploma and degree holders, the initiative introduces two future-ready certification training programmes:
Certificate in Digital Construction
Assisted coding with AI
A five-month training programme where participants get hands-on with the tools reshaping today’s construction industry. Learn the basics of Building Information Modelling (BIM), cloud collaboration and digital technologies that improve coordination and data flow across every stage of a project.

Backend Development & Cloud DevOps

- API Development with Python Build and integrate scalable APIs using Python.
- Serverless Computing Leverage Cloud Run and Cloud Functions for scalable back end solutions.
- Databases & Firebase Manage data with SQL databases and use Firebase for back end-as-a-service.
AI, Machine Learning & Data Science
- Vertex AI Utilise Google’s Vertex AI for machine learning projects. Create your own AI tool using Gemini Pro with RAG architecture.
- BigQuery & SQL Perform large-scale data analysis with BigQuery and SQL.
- Search & Conversations Implement advanced search functionalities and conversational AI.
Certificate in AI and Cloud for Construction
A five-month training programme where participants build real-world skills in web development, cloud, and AI. Start with full-stack fundamentals, explore practical AI applications and Google Cloud, then bring everything together in a final project where you create a working AI-powered solution.
A series of Personal Development classes create a holistic learning experience. They are designed to enhance professional and personal skills to ensure participants are well-rounded and ready to thrive in the AI industry.
Innovation & Design Thinking: Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking to address real-world challenges for your Capstone projects.
Communication Skills: Verbal and non-verbal communication to improve in-person interactions and teamwork in a business or work setting.
Leadership Skills: Effectively manage and lead a team or tech talents as a team lead in a large organisation or as founder of your own business.
Personal Branding: Learn how to build and promote a personal brand to stand out in the professional landscape through various digital platforms.

- Minimum diploma in Engineering, Science, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Can commit full-time to physical classes from Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm at CENTEXS, Kuching.
- Laptops will be provided to students on loan.
